Crush All Fakes
Anderson, vocalist of Syracuse hardcore band The Promise, recounts:
"In 2001, Another Victim wasn't doing much. Santa Sangre was making a go of things and I started life in Philadephia. Going to shows, I would still see bands killing it but there was also an abundance of 'crossover' bands who gave little care about the people or spirit of HC. They were more interested in where the scene might take them as opposed to where they could take the scene. Had a conversation with Scott Vogel about it who was also in between bands. Told him I was working on lyrics about a lot of bad shadowing the good and so many bands/people who were so obviously transparent/fake. He told me 'Crush all fakes.' I told him thanks for the title."
